Under the Swachha Bharata Sceheme of the central Govt. for the safe collection of solid waste being produced in rural areas and to manage of them, on proper bifurcation in our Dharwad parliamentary constituency, a total of 129 Solid Waste management units have been set up at gram Panchayat and Town Panchayat levels. They are also being equipped with 172 vehicles for the disposal of accumulated solid waste.

ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಭಾರತ ಅಭಿಯಾನದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಾಗುವ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ೧೨೯ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಘಟಕಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಗಳ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆಗಾಗಿ ೧೭೨ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
