Under the Prime Minister’s Higher Education Campaign (PM-USA), due to the personal interest and efforts of the Honorable Central Minister, Shri Pralhad Joshi, a grant of Rs. 20 Crore has been released from the Ministry of Higher Education to strengthen Karnataka University, Dharwad, the educational crown of Dharwad city. This enables it to offer multidisciplinary education and research capabilities to universities.

ಧಾರವಾಡ ನಗರದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮುಕುಟವಾದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಹುದಾದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲು ನೀಡುವ ೨೦ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಅನುದಾನವು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಲ್ಹಾದ ಜೋಶಿಯವರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
