Till now, we used to rely on remote forensic science institutes for the detection of criminal cases. Now, the National University of Forensic Science in the Dharwad Lok Sabha Constituency has also started functioning on Dharwad’s Valmee campus. Already, 48 acres of land in the Agricultural University has been earmarked for the Forensic Science University. In a few months, this university will have its own building and start various classes and training courses for government department officials and the public in crime detection.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಧಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ

ಅಪರಾಧ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳ ಪತ್ತೆಗಾಗಿ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ದೂರದೂರದ ವಿಧಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು. ಈಗ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಧಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವೂ ಧಾರವಾಡದ ವಾಲ್ಮೀ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾರಂಭ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಕೃಷಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ೪೮ ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ವಿಧಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಸಲಿಡಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಕೆಲವೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಹೊಂದಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚುವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವಿಧ ತರಗತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೂ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಿದೆ.
