MGNREGA Programme has been launched in the country to provide employment opportunities to the rural unskilled labourers, to empower them and for the creation of community assets. Construction works are being undertaken with respect to Toilets for Rural Schools, Kitchen Rooms, Playgrounds, Cattle Shed Agri Ponds, Development of Water Ponds, Water Canals, Horticulture, Land Developments, Roads and Drainage Improvements setting up of solid waste management units. Thus so far several works have been taken up.

Totally 1,78,923 works have been successfully implemented by providing job opportunities to the working hands. The total amount spent in our area on these projects works out to Rs. 795.52 Crore.  

ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಖಾತ್ರಿ ಯೋಜನೆ

ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅಕುಶಲ ಕೂಲಿ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಜಲ ಸಂವರ್ಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳ ಸೃಜನೆಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಶೌಚಾಲಯ, ಅಡುಗೆ ಕೋಣೆ, ಆಟದ ಮೈದಾನ, ದನದ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೃಷಿ, ಹೊಂಡ, ಕೆರೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ನೀರುಗಾಲುವೆ, ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ, ಜಮೀನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ರಸ್ತೆ, ಗಟಾರ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ, ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ಘಟಕಗಳು ಹೀಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ೧,೭೮,೯೨೩ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳಿಸಿ ದುಡಿಯುವ ಕೈಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟು ವೆಚ್ಚ ರೂ. ೭೯೫.೫೨ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ.
