While being a two-lane road, a large number of accidents would take place. Despite continuous appeals and mounting pressure on the then government, it was of no avail. Keeping road safety and pleasant journeys as the priority in road construction, Shri Narendra Modi Govt. has allocated Rs. 1,050 Crore funds towards the conversion of a 31 km two-lane road into a six-lane road, along with both side two-lane service road totalling 10-lane road.

ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ-ಧಾರವಾಡ ಬೈಪಾಸ್

ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ-ಧಾರವಾಡ ಬೈಪಾಸ್ ದ್ವಿಪಥ ರಸ್ತೆ ಇದ್ದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳು ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಸದರಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಅಗಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರೂ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುಖಾನುಭವ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತö್ಯ ನೀಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಜಿ ಅವರು ಈ ಬೈಪಾಸ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಷಟ್ಪಥ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಸಲು ಒಟ್ಟು ೩೧ ಕಿಮಿ ಉದ್ದದ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ೧,೦೫೦ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳೆಂದರೆ:
ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಎರಡು ಬದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿಪಥ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು.
