Dr Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Programme launched by the Central Govt. aims at providing continuous electricity supply to rural India. It focuses on feeder separation of electric grids at the local level. strengthening of sub transmission and distribution of infrastructure thereby to maintain sustainability in power supply.

100% target has been achieved under this programme. In Dharwad parliamentary constituency 3,324 unelectrified house holds have been provided with new connections. 

ಡಾ. ದೀನ ದಯಾಳ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರÀದ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಿಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಗ್ರಿಡ್ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಫೀಡರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸುವುದು. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಮಾಡುವ ಜಾಲ ಹಾಗು ವಿತರಣಾ ಮಂಡಲಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸರಬರಾಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಇದರಡಿ ೧೦೦% ಸಾಧನೆಗೈಯ್ಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಪಡೆದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಮನೆಗಳು – ೩,೩೨೪.
