To commemorate 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence under the tagline of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav the Central Govt. has undertaken the development of 114 ponds and tanks under this scheme. In Dharwad parliamentary constituency total of Rs. 4.46 Crore has been released under the scheme.

Along with the Amrut Sarovar lakes, Amrut Van (forests) have also been created around the constructed lakes within the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency area. Furthermore, as part of the Crore Tree Campaign, millions of saplings have been planted to create a clean environment, aligning with the vision of Modi.

ಅಮೃತ ಸರೋವರ

೭೫ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ‍್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಅಮೃತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಸವಿ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ೧೧೪ ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರದ ಯೋಜನೆ. ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೊತ್ತ ೪.೪೬ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ. ಅಮೃತ ಸರೋವರಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಮೃತ ವನ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಾ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದ ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಅಮೃತ ವನಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೆ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೋಟಿ ವೃಕ್ಷ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಸ್ವಚ್ಚ ಪರಿಸರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಮೋದಿಜಿಯವರ ಆಶಯದನ್ವಯ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
